Fostering Acceptance is an entirely volunteer-based organization and we're always looking for new advisors. If you have relevant experience and are interested in working with us, please contact us: info@fosteringacceptance.org.

Become an Advisor

The Fostering Acceptance Advisor Network is a low-commitment way to make a big impact. Scroll down to fill out a brief form indicating your educational background and career path. You'll be added to our Network so we can facilitate brief conversations with students interested in attending your university or pursuing your career path.

These are not necessarily long-term mentorship relationships. Instead, they provide students with the kind of informal exposure to professionals and alumni that many of their peers receive through family and social networks. These conversations help students explore career paths, understand educational requirements, and gain insight into universities and professions.

Ways to Get Involved

Intern with Us

We welcome interns interested in education, public policy, law, and child advocacy. Interns assist with state-by-state surveys, resource development, and research related to educational benefits and government obligations affecting current and former foster youth. We are happy to coordinate with your college or law school regarding internship documentation, supervision, and other requirements for academic credit. Please send your resume and a brief statement of interest to info@fosteringacceptance.org for consideration.
